The first week of 2025

With the new year in full swing many homeowners have decided to start their moving process. With a astonishing amount of 26,000 homes listed in the new year. 

A number of experts have analysed the current market listings and have estimated there are currently 427,000 homes on the market of which around 25,000 of those were listed in the first week of 2025. 

Bristol has seen the biggest boost in this, with a sale increase of 12.3% in the first 7 days of 2025. With a number of home buyers searching for the right property this gives them a wide variety of choice. 

For contrast the City of London has only increased by 2.3%, this is the lowest increase in all the markets. 

With the stamp duty changes looming ahead of us, an anticipating busy few month are to come for the property market. Whoever is contemplating selling their home is advised to act now to take advantage of the increased level of market activity.
